Before my education career, I served as President of the Vietnamese Student Association at Tohoku University (TUVSA) — one of Japan's seven Imperial Universities — and as a tourism ambassador for the Tohoku region (Gogo Tohoku). I also led volunteer English Camps to strengthen English and life skills for Japanese children.
Throughout my career I have been active in student movements, recruitment outreach, university entrance exam supervision, student research evaluation panels, programme accreditation, and the SARTREPS water-filtration research project between Vietnam and Japan.
I have published research in STEM, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Environmental Science. I co-supervised Ngo Hoang Minh — gold medallist at the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO), who went on to a scholarship at the National University of Singapore.
"I began my education career by chance during Covid in 2021. Finding work was genuinely difficult as companies had frozen hiring. Fortunately, Thuyloi University wanted to recruit lecturers to launch a new programme — I applied and was accepted. That was nearly 8 years ago, and I've been researching and educating ever since."
I supported 50+ students at Miyagi Prefecture Sendai Daisan High School with high-school research projects for applications to top universities in Japan and worldwide.
I published a Q1 international paper during my Master's (Impact Factor 19.16 in 2021), followed by many collaborative papers with Japan, China and Vietnam.
I helped raise Chemical Engineering entrance exam scores at Thuyloi University from 16.15 (2021) to 25.5 (2025).
I contributed to growing Chemical Engineering enrolment from 30 students (2021) to 120 students (2025).
I built partnerships between Thuyloi University and businesses in Vietnam (Cozy) and Japan (X-forest).
